Participants of Transatlantic Seminar 2013 Present To Diplomats at US Consulate Leipzig

Submitted by Richard A. Bachmann on Fri, 05/24/2013 - 10:43
With presentations to diplomats and staff members of the US Consulate Leipzig, students from Ohio University’s GLC and ASL concluded this year’s Transatlantic Seminar and Student Summit on Friday. Over the course of the week the students had split into five working groups and prepared recommendations for successfully implementing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) in the sectors of agriculture, finance, manufacturing, services, and energy. After presenting their recommendations to Dr. Helena Schrader, Economic Attaché, and Dr. Andreas Fürst, Senior Political Analyst, each working group got valuable feedback from the experts. Both were impressed with the creativity and thoughtfulness of the students’ suggestions. After the presentations, all participants of the Transatlantic Seminar 2013 gathered at the Gallery for Contemporary Art to celebrate the successful completion of the project.
