Film Screening Series: The Public Enemy (1931)

Submitted by Eric W. Fraunholz on Mon, 12/09/2013 - 13:02

As part of the film screening series "The American Gangster Film," Fulbright Professor Barry Laga invited for a public screening of the 1932 classic The Public Enemy.

The screening attracted students from different institutes to watch and discuss the peculiarites of the American gangster genre before the so called Hays Code (for more information about the Hays Code, please visit NPR).

We are looking forward to continuing the series with three further screenings:

December 18th, 2013: Bonnie and Clyde (1967)

January, 8th, 2014: Scarface (1983)

January 22nd, 2014: Pulp Fiction (1994)
