 WAVE Foundation Internship Program, Newport

The WAVE Foundation Internship Programs offer internships at the Newport Aquarium either in animal care or different business internships, such as Marketing Office, Public Relations, or Volunteer Office HR. Depending on the kind of internship you are interested in, the tasks as well as requirements may differ. Please note that these are unpaid positions.

The internships are divded into three different time frames: spring, summer, and fall. For the summer internship the application deadline is February 1st.

Requirements:

Students must have completed one year of university (must be of sophomore, junior, or senior status) and must be registered for credit at a two or four year college or university. Approval from the student's academic advisor is required at time of application. Previous experience in aquarium keeping is desired. With your completed online application, you will be asked to upload a cover letter, resume, advisor recommendation form and a copy of your transcripts.
