 Publishing Internship with Gingko Press, Hamburg

Gingko Press is an internationally renowned publisher of cutting-edge art, visual culture and design books. Founded in Hamburg in 1985, and expanded to California in 1995, Gingko Press hosts some of the world's most exciting and subversive publishing brands across the globe including Juxtapoz Magazine, McLuhan, Viction:ary and Obey. When considering their next release, Gingko consistently manages to choose both art and artists that possess a discernable personality, adding something new to modern culture.

Gingko is looking for two interns to work in the Hamburg office, starting on or after March 1, 2015. The duration of the internships is 2–6 months, and the tasks will vary, depending on the interns’ interests and qualifications, as well as on Gingko’s needs. Longer internships might be paid.


Depending on the department, tasks might include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting in managing sales
  • Organizing and participating in events
  • General clerical and administrative work
  • Maintaining website
  • Etc.


  • Sincere interest in publishing business, especially in Gingko’s product range
  • Flexibility and willingness to work 30 hours a week
  • Very good German and English skills
  • Ability to learn and acquire new skills quickly
  • Basic experience in using MS Office
