 Open Europe - Internship

Submitted by Martin Walter on Wed, 03/10/2010 - 16:20

Summary: Open Europe is one of the leading independent think tanks carrying out cutting edge research on everything to do with reform of the EU: on subjects ranging from environmental policy to defence, from farming policy to the democratic deficit. We make the case for free trade, free markets and the decentralisation of powers back to the member states.

We are looking for an intern to join the research team in Brussels as soon as possible. You will work on short briefings for journalists, and longer pieces of public policy research. The role involves media monitoring, contact with journalists and original investigative research;
these internships have occasionally led to full time positions in previous years.

Expenses will be covered!

Essential Skills

You should have or expect to gain a master degree and must have very good English language skills and proficiency in several foreign languages. Applications from all subjects are welcome: a background in politics, history or economics is typical but not essential. Candidates with German and/or French are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must share Open Europe’s objectives, and can expect to work in a robust but fun small team
environment in Westminster.

Dates for Internship

The application deadline is April 1.
