 Nonprofit Internship with Action Reconciliation Service for Peace, Philadelphia

For over 50 years the Action Reconciliation Service for Peace has been committed to working toward reconciliation and peace, as well as fighting racism, discrimination and social exclusion. ARSP is looking for an enthusiastic intern to join their team at the Philadelphia office for a minimum of two months, starting in September 2015. The position will support ARSP's public relations efforts and assist the US Program Director. Depending on the interests and qualifications of the intern, additional tasks will be assigned. The intern will finish the internship having gained broad experience in the various aspects of the work of an international non-profit in the United States and beyond. ARSP provides a stipend for housing and living expenses.

 

Tasks:

Public Relations/Fundraising:

  • Assisting in researching, writing and posting messages, uploading photos and video
  • Assisting in coordinating successful fundraising events
  • Assisting in preparing newsletters, press releases and fundraising campaigns.

Organizational Support:

  • Assisting in basic book keeping and office management
  • Assisting in organizing workshops for ARSP volunteers
  • Supporting U.S. Program Director

 

Requirements:

  • Between 18 and 23 years old
  • Flexibility, ability to work in a small team
  • Computer skills, social media
  • Proficiency in German and/or English
